Straps talk
Given that original straps from Panerai are so expensive, I am in the hunt for aftermarket straps.
In particular, I am looking for alligator straps. What do you recommend? Some pictures would be appreciated. |

for alligator straps, i think OEM is the best way to go. i recently picked up a ted su golden strap that is quite nice, and is one of my favorites, color-wise, but, it doesn't have the same "feel" as the OEM (but, it was a little more than 1/2 the price).

Agree that OEM is best short of ABP.

I think for croc/alligator nothing beats OEM interms of dress style...
I highly recommend Simona or Altamarea but they are still not the DRESS straps like OEM... never personally had ABP but heard good things about them.. the other would be Camille Fournet that makes OEM for other brands like JLC...

Ok, pardon my noob questions.
From the responses, I figured that OEM straps are highly recommended. I have looked at ABP and Stefano but where do I get to look at OEM straps? any links pls/ |

I like the OEM croc leather strap.
I have been recently tempted by Hirsch Duke strap. Looks very similar to the Panerai OEM leather strap. |

Check out FS section and you can find a good deal. Often dealers will throw in free straps with purchase and people sell them at discounts.
Or, people like me sell very good condtion OEM straps b/c they are in between holes. I'm selling a 26/26 Black Gator now for example. Just look around.
