Hi Again!
Hi everyone -
Thanks for some of the suggestions on my first post last week about getting a SUB. Since I do not want to "ruffle" any feathers - if I find one for sale on here, is it "ok" to make an offer on the price they have listed? I DON'T want to look like a fool if it is not accepted practice. (thought I should ask this!) Do I also post a new topic asking anyone for some feedback on a seller, or is there a way to "check them out"?? (for my peace of mind) or will PayPal protect me? Normally if buying something large, I use AMEX for protection, and never have an issue. Thanks !!! -Bill |

Check out the Who's Who section for recomendations on the various sellers.
Buy the seller. Compare the price with the one that interest you with others of comparable value which have been listed. You can always offer less, and they can always either say no, or never answer your request. No different than anywhere else really.

You can look up folks in the Who's who section or GoodGuys on Watchnet - many cross post. And feel free to counter offer, that's part of the fun! Good luck!

If you want to get some feedback on a seller, you can always use the search function on the forum of take a look on the "Buyers/Sellers: Who's who?" section, otherwise you can indeed start a thread in this very section to ask for it but if it's a well known seller you probably won't have to do it in order to have some information. I don't know if Paypal will protect you if you buy outside Ebay but I'm not an expert in this domain so I don't want to give you false information!
Finally, if you want to offer a price I personally believe it is okay to negotiate a little but be careful with "low-ball" offers, they will only irritate the seller and give you a bad reputation as well as a loss of time. Always keep in mind that we're talking about luxury items, therefore you can always try to save some money without believing you can have it for a ridiculous price, both the seller and the buyer need to be realistic! Have fun on your quest for a new watch, please keep us updated with news!

You should spend some time on the 4-sale section to understand pricing. In most cases there is not a lot to haggle about with good sellers....they understand the market and pricing.
You'll see 6-8 high frequency sellers in the "who's who" section- Good luck |

Bill,
you would notice some of the trusted sellers have prices slightly higher than other FS posts. i still decided to buy at a slightly higher price for the piece of mind. trusted sellers are the way to go. i bought my first and i am extremely happy with the watch i got as i felt he had under-rated it and i got a fantastic deal. |
