Question on buying new 93150 bracelet from RSC

I called the Dallas RSC about purchasing a new 93150 for a 1680. They mentioned something about "am I buying it outright or trading in?" Do they actually give you money for your old bracelets?

I've never done it, but I believe I read they will give you something but that may be only gold bracelets. Although I don't think they will give you that much if they do.


Why don't you ask them?

Don't know about the US, but here in Aus, the price is the same. But they'll keep your old bracelet if you send it in. So buy outright!

I got significant trade in value when I got a new SS braclet from RSC.

If your willing to let go of your old bracelet, I think they know a sizable chunk of your bill....someone else will know for sure....

I needed a new bracelet for a 25 year old gmt ( stainless) and my AD said I not only had to send the watch in but that Rolex would keep the old bracelet. Last time I needed one some 15 years ago I just went to an AD and bought it there. I still have that original but stretched bracelet. Times have changed

I'm interested in getting a new (spare) 93150, do I just go to the RSC (or AD?) and ask for a new one? How much do they cost there?

I heard $1,450, but they make sure it's the right bracelet for that watch. My AD wanted the serial number, model number and took pictures. I have not heard back yet but they said Rolex may want the watch sent to Dallas...

My AD wouldn't even quote a price on the bracelet....I was there Friday.

The reason they are restricting parts is to try to prevent a 'franken' epidemic. Since the Chinese fake manufactureres acquired CNC machines, they are very good at copying cases.
So some asses get a fake, buy a used dial and score a new bracelet, crystal, crown and crown tube, whack it all together and hey presto! They have a close to genuine watch which will:
* Dilute the market with watches being worn by those who can't afford the real thing, thus destroying genuine owners resale value as 'everyone has one'
* Remove the ability for genuine owners to resell their watches privately due to risk of buying something like the above
* Permit more outright criminal activity where scum try to sell these as genuine deliberately on Craigslist or fleabay.

Rolex aren't being b*stards here, they are protecting their brand and your asset value.
