Durability of DJ II Bezel

Does anyone have any information on how the Bezel of the DJ II wears? Since it is gold does it scratch or dent easier? HAs anyone had it serviced and did they experience a higher price than the standard "overhaul" price. Thanks guys!

I am going to look at one tomorrow. It appears to be the same bezel they use on the DDII hopefully not delicate.

Cannot imagine you will have any issues... Plus it can always be replaced if you do ever have an issue... If you like it I say grab one wear and enjoy and do not give it a second thought

I've had multiple 30 year old DJ's with great bezels. Of course you CAN damage one, but that's true of any bezel. It should give you years of proud enjoyment.

Replacements are easy to find because it is such a popular model. Here's one I'm selling that is almost 40 years old...

Looking at the pics posted I am assuming if a scratch does happen it isn't as noticeable bc of the fluted bezel???

yes u are correct, unless u smash the bezel with so much force that it dents, which will be very tough to do. I have never really damaged my datejjust, sub or seadweller bezels.

Dont worry just buy one and enjoy

Fluted bezel helps for sure.....not sure how the large smooth new DJII bezel will hold up, scratch-wise, which is too bad, since the look as-new is pretty stunning.

The fluted bezel hides imperfections and scratches pretty well IMO

Shows scratches but you really have to look closely to see them. The radiance of the bezel makes up for the scratches though.
