6" wrist, GMTIIC?
Before I make the plunge, anyone have a small wrist like me and wear the GMTIIC? It looks like it works when I try it on, but I just want to make sure, and see if anyone has found that wrist size to be too small...
I had having a watch that dosnt equally balance with the clasp... Thanks!!!! |

Please, do not look to internet Rolex forums for validation to buy and wear the watch that you have your heart set on. You said it yourself in your post...'it looks like it works when I try it on'.
That, and that alone, should be enough for you as an individual adult to go ahead and acquire it, enjoy the purchase experience, enjoy wearing it, enjoy looking at it and confidently own it. |

The 40mm case size should work fine on your wrist, although you may not be able to perfectly center the clasp. You would have a better chance with a Sub-C where the minimum number of links on both sides of the case is 3, while the GMT IIC has 4 fixed links on both sides. Plus, the SS Sub-C has a half-link in the bracelet as well to help centering the clasp.
If you have an AD who can size the bracelet for you (before deciding on the purchase), then it would be the best way to find out whether it would work well on your wrist. If you cannot ask them to do that, then you may be better off with the more flexible Sub-C. Just my $0.02. BTW, I own a SS Sub-C, and I have 3.5 links on the 6-hour side of the case, and the clasp is dead center on the underside of my 6.3-inch wrist: However, please note that no two wrists are alike, and wrist shape may impact your preference on bracelet configuration. You may also prefer the shorter clasp of the GMT IIC over the very long GlideLock clasp of the Sub-C.

It will fit no problem. My wrist is slightly bigger than 6", and it works well. More comfy than my Sub-C, IMO.

Should be ok. I would stay away from DSSD. The GMTIIc should look great.

Yeah! it has a cool feature, being the glide lock... but its super long and kind of concaved. Its by far the largest clasp ive ever scene on a rolex.

TBH, its not the size of ones wrist that dictates the size of watch but the shape, a flatter shaped 6" wrist will be able to carry off a larger watch than a rounded 6" wrist.
IMHO.

I'm 6.25 and the GMT works. Although I would not want to wear anything larger.

The GlideLock clasp is indeed very long, but it has to be noted that it's no longer than the inside part of the clasp (the "scissor" mechanism). If you take the "scissor" part, it's the same length on the GMT IIC and Sub-C, only the outer part is longer for the GlideLock. On the GMT IIC you have to center the "scissor", which may make the clasp uncentered :) I hope it's not dead confusing what I said...... :)

It's a good idea to get like-wristed others' experiences before choosing. Looks are one thing, living with it can be a different matter. That's a great thing about TRF - you can usually benefit from shared experiences.
