This watch just became available at a Pawn Shop near me

Some guy apparently pawn'd this watch and could not buy it back. It is a 2008. Whats the max you would pay for something like this? I'm interested in buying, they have it list @ $6750 but I'm not interested at that price. They said to make an offer

I'd say $5k for SS. This is TT - $6k - $6.5k if mint.

I'd say at $5500 it would be a deal worth taking. Just keep in mind that for whatever reason TT models arn't as desirable in the U.S. If you like it I guess that doesn't matter though.

TT are less desirable around the world!
$5500 is a reasonable price IMHO.

$6K is a very good price to pay if in mint condition.

IF it IS mint, AND a 2008 model, they can get what they are asking. Their price is what similar models go for here.

I haven't seen any mint ones selling for $5-$5.5k anywhere. And I was looking!!!

Maybe for a GMT, but not a sub.

Can't work out why they are less desirable, mine's freakin' awesome!

This.

$6-$6.5k is the normal market price for these. As we went over in a previous topic...just because a pawn shop paid XX% of MSRP doesn't mean they don't know the market value and will give it away. These wholesale amongst dealers on various networks for more than some of the replies in this thread, of which most pawn brokers and their associations are members of.

I really believe that the days of easily finding steals at a local pawn shop are long gone unless you get lucky and find a small mom & pop with no computer access!

Right on! I have NEVER seen a ROLEX below market value at ANY pawn shop. If anything, they're asking TOO much money!

Google the phone number. Nothing suspicious. Looks like a pawn shop selling lots of things online.

I think it's priced "just aboutt right", if you can get them at $6,250 or to eat all of the tax that's about the best you are going to do IMHO...

Remember, they don't need to sell the watch, they may like too, but they more than likely don't have too.....

Looks like they'll take $6K for it based on their CL ad. For an end user that is a very fair price.
