Overseas members - has anyone seen "The Avengers"?? - reviews?

So this Movie has opened everywhere but Canada and the US it seems...

I can make it to maybe one or two movies a year in the theatre - time IS the most valuable thing on earth...

I always like hearing more what 'real people' think than Critics...

so has anyone seen it yet ? given the fact that it pulled in almost 200Mil, there has to be a TRF member or two out there who was in the theatre..

I watched it a day after it was out. I liked it but treat it like any other Marvel comic movie. All of them have the same theme - How did they become X. In this case, it is how did they become Avengers? Lots of action, some humor.

Definitely NOT like Chris Nolan's Batman series.

I.e. if you are only gonna watch one movie, I would hedge my bets with Chris Nolan's Dark Knight Rises than the Avengers.

Watched it on the 25th April, I liked it!!

It was predictable and typical Marvel movie.

3D glass are fricking annoying!

Out this weekend in the UK, gonna see it. Not expecting much though. Usual fair. Is it in 3D?

Dark Knight Rises is gonna be brilliant I'm sure.

Really looking forward to Prometheus(Alien prequel) Trailer looks speculator. Ridley Scott hasn't done anything really decent for 10 years though.

I saw it last night and it was actually reasonably decent.
Joss whedon wrote and directed the film which is the only thing that saved it from becoming a bucket of cheese.
Joss’s writing for the Hulk makes the movie imo

Same calibre of film as Thor and X-men First Class, but not as good as Iron man one.
Substantially better then every other Marvel screen adaption to date though!

Wiki says it was filmed in 2D then converted afterwards. This means the CGI just pops out at you, and is pretty crap really.

Will see 2D if I can.

Seeing it tomorrow at a special preview. Very excited, although I'm not really into comic book movies. RDJ is awesome as Iron Man though...

This is kind of my gut instinct...I buy all o fthese movies on Blu-Ray after they are released, and enjoy all of them, but usually am glad I didn't see them in the theatre..

Still, I have a soft spot for the Hulk, and keep hoping that they get him right - Thought Ed norton's Hulk was pretty good, and So far have no objections to mark Ruffulo as Bruce Banner (but they've kept his moments in the Trailers very limited)...
