Seroiusly? I live in S.D. and hadn't heard anything about that. I know he had some issues a couple of years ago but wow..............My son has played Lacrosse with his for a couple years (different teams) and they both seemed like pretty nice guys. I feel so bad for his family if it's true.

Played for the Pats at the end of his career off and on for a few years so Pats fans got to know him a little bit here in New England, very sad to hear this! My thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family!! He played the game with integrity and was a real warrior!!

Damn......

Did the Dave Duerson so his brain could be analyzed for the deteriorating effects of multiple concussions. Helluva way to sacrifice for future NFLers benefit.

One of my favorite players of all-time, both with the Pats and prior to his joining them.

PED's and concussions do awful things to human beings, I hope he rests in peace......

The recent suicide and general early death rates among athletes who have sustained traumatic brain injuries over their career are alarming. I fear we're only seeing the tip of the TBI iceberg. RIP Junior Seau.

Oh wow. So very sad. I had his poster on my wall as a kid. Next to Larry Walker Griffey Jr and Cal Ripken jr. I'm shocked right now.

I feel bad for his three little girls... They are the true victims here...

Not to start an argument but kind of a selfish act. IMO...

Probably not the best comment if you don't want to start an argument.

You never know what is in anyone's head. Not excusing his actions, but you don't know what drove him or anyone to commit suicide.

The mind is a complex thing. It can destroy a person.

He will always be remembered as one of Chargers lifetime heroes for the best year ever happened to the team 18 years ago (1994 Superbowl vs 49ers).

RIP Junior Seau.

As a Funeral Director and Funeral Home Owner, I see this all too often, and would be careful not to judge, as there are a LOT of reasons one does things like this. It's something that we as humans have to deal with--the up's and down's of life. Age means nothing when it comes to death, and I see children to adults being a victim of this act. Let's keep his family in our prayers, but don't assume we understand everything that is going on.
