A Rolex Event....(PIC HEAVY)
I recently had the pleasure of being invited by my brother-in law to be his +1 (my sister was not happy, but they know I am a WIS) for a Mayor's Rolex Event celebrating the Yacht Master (perhaps 50th Anniv? not sure).
It was aboard a Yacht called the Venetion Lady and departed from Miami Bayside Marina. There were about 30 or so people that attended the event, as well as numerous Mayors Emplyees and the Presidents & CEO's for Rolex and Mayors were also in attendace. It was a interesting evening since I was wanting to "talk" watches, but most on the boat were just there for the shiney jewelry aspect of the brand. However, I had a blast with my brother-in-law and got a FREE gift.... A few Key facts: - The CEO of Mayors (as well as a few others) grabbed my wrist and were just by my 5513 on the NATO... - The CEO of Rolex during his speach emphasized the "ruggedness" that Rolex was built on referencing the Submariner and its "tool" heritage, and that all those characterisitics are still alive today in every Rolex manufatured as a "Go anywhere. Do anything" timepeice. ( He was wearing a DEEP SEA Sea Dweller) Enjoy the poor phone Pics (I had to be a bit sneaky to not look like a "tool"):

That looks like an incredible evening. I LOVE how many pieces were on display. Also, super cool to hear that the CEO was wearing the DSSD.
