Service

Did anyone recently get their AP serviced? how much did it cost?

I've never done any service on my AP.. and planning to do so because the time is not accurate.

Replacement parts such as the bezel goes as a option above the refurbishment cost.

If the watch is under 2 years it would be carried out under warranty.

Got my 15300 back from Clearwater last month for a full service (movement + gaskets/WR test, etc.). Price for this work was $872 plus tax, bringing my total to just a hair over $900.

Tax? You're not in NY, CA, or FL so not subject to tax... unless you went AD vs direct APCS?

those prices are just a piggy-back to a service cost then?

what if you just want refurbishing by itself?

Hi, Mike. I'm in WA --- and you've raised a good question, that I'm not entirely sure of the answer to, other than it likely has to do with some unpopular recently passed legislation here in the Evergreen State (http://bit.ly/K6AMd5) that allows out of state sellers to collect salex taxes.

SSTP hit WA? Wow. Not to get off topic but I can see this issue going to the Supreme Court if more states start pressing for control over interstate taxation.

What do you mean "time is not accurate"? Defects happen sometimes... these are mechanical devices after all.

What do you mean by that? How much time do you gain over 24 hours? To be more precise I set the watch and run it for 3-4 days then divide by however many days. If just a regulation you shouldn't need a service.

I am getting my RB2 back from Clearwater tomorrow. I paid $1040 for full service including parts. It took exactly 7 weeks which was ahead of schedule.

No that is extra. Mine didn't need it as it was worn only a few times and sat in a large private collection prior to me getting it. It literally doesn't have even a tiny mark on it anywhere--looks brand new!
