Watch Factories Switzerland

Hi Everybody,
I am traveling to Neuchatel, Switzerland Sept 1-5 and I am hoping to be able to go on a factory tour at any of the local watch factories. Has anyone done this? Do you have advice on how to set the tours up?

I would start researching this on the web or even better yet start with the concierge in your hotel. A good one should know and have connnections at all the points of interest in the area

I would imagine you won't be able to get into some of them like Rolex. I would however make it a point to visit the Patek museum.

X2. I just looked and you aren't getting in the actual factories. As Dan said PP museum is supposed to be great.

I was offered one from AP when I registered an AP ROO I bought - not sure how you'd get an invite though without a purchase!

Good luck

Boy do I regret not having known about it when I went!

I would take the train to the Patek museum, it is well worth it.
No visitors to Rolex at all...
IWC visits are possible if you are a big customer from a big AD
but rare for sure.
Perhaps reach out to some of the smaller brands like Vulcain
and any others but I would do this in advance of your visit.

Another suggestion... See if you can do the "Chocolate Train"
ask them when at the station about its schedule and if it
leaves from your station.

It would be interesting to have a listing of watch factories (particularly in Switzerland, and maybe Germany) who do allow afficianados of the brand to tour the facilities, and how to organise. Plus any Museums that specialise in timepieces. I'm not aware of anywhere this info can be found in the one place.

8:30 : Pick up at the Hotel Palafitte and transport to Le Brassus
9:30 : Visit of the Museum and the workshop repair of Mr Francisco Pasandin
12:15 : Lunch at the Chonographt at the Hotel des Horlogers

The American flag will be flying alongside the Swiss flag at the factory in honor of Mr and Mrs. Dresner's visit. Upon their departure, we have arranged for each of them to be presented with a gift. Mr. Dresner will receive the green Audemars Piguet coffee table book detailing our history and artistry, and Mrs. Dresner will receive a Longchamp travel bag with our logo.

Thank you for all you that said it could not be done!
