Looking to trade/upgrade
I have a rolex cellini 18k rose gold, black dial and black crocodile. This is more of a dressy watch than I want. Does anyone know of a place in the NY area that does trades?

I'm sure Torneau would do a trade keep in mind you always get beat up in trades, much like cars.
Your best bet would be to contact some of the most active and "trusted" sellers here on TRF and make a deal/trade with them... Good luck |

List it for sale on the various watch forums: here, timezone.com, watchuseek.com, etc. Somebody out there will want it!

Pretty much any AD will take Rolex as trade but will low ball you so they can make profit on your old watch as well as the new one you are buying. You'll get the most money out of it selling it outright.

all over 47th street, and at torneau they do trades towards upgrades... torneau will take any kind of watch they deem against a preowned, but a new rolex requires the watch being traded to be a rolex - at least thats what they require at the AOL time warner center torneau.
Trade on TRF or another site like it with someone who wants it, rather than just throwing your money away. Or put it up FS, and take the profits towards an upgrade.

I agree with what everyone is saying; most AD's, even if they don't sell pre-owned watches in their stores will have a "guy" that takes used Rolex. But, as people have stated, it will be a low-ball price. If you want to make the most money, try to sell it yourself.
I recently completed a trade with Oscar (bodybump) and it went very well. I highly recommend. |
