Anyone seen a warranty card like this?
A seller joined another forum today and posted this Deepsea for $5500. I've been back and forth with him all morning. He sent me these pics. Warranty card looks unlike any other for a V serial Deepsea. Please inspect and report.

Looks right to me....but Im not an expert. But looks similar to what i have. Can you get a pic of the other side? There you"ll b able to read the AD, DOP, and original buyer. If you want full warranty the card must be filled by AD. blank=No Warranty

Here are two other pics. I've seen a lot of the other style cards which look like they're in French.

Right, it can be French, Japanese etc,,,,the easiest way to tell is IT MUST HAVE THE JUBILEE print on the other side if the watch is fairly new>

Can anyone comment on the watch too? It looks good to me but I'm no deepsea expert.

I'd be careful of any DSSD being sold online....there was a wave of VERY VERY VERY good fakes that came out about a year ago....if you search the threads you'll find it. the old saying goes, Buy the Seller!!

I'm aware of the fakes. There are very good fakes of a lot of Rolex models. But there are tons of gen DSSD's sold online in addition too. I'm trying my best to do my due diligence on the seller. I won't go through unless I feel comfortable.

It's fake, or scam.
Card is fake I bet you'll get a piece of rock instead.

I've asked the seller several times today for tagged pics. Photos of my name and todays date on a piece of paper with the watch. Something along those lines. And I have been met with big time resistance. Accused of deeming him a criminal, etc...every time I 've tried to walk from the deal because he's got "15 buyers" behind me, he keeps coming back.

The watch and warranty card in the pics may indeed be gen, but if he can't send me tagged pic with my name on a sheet of paper, then I have to assume he stole the pics and doesn't have the watch in his possession.

Well, just in case any one is interested, they buyer is selling over on WUS. He listed it on watchnet last week for $7k and his posts were deleted. Maybe they know something we don't. May be an honest seller, but from my dealings with him I would proceed with caution.

These are all legitimate pics.....However, that doesn't mean it's what you are going to receive!!
The price is red flag alone. Forget about it and move along or you will lose more than you bargain for! This is a classic scam taking advantage of the gullible with stolen pics!

For every scammer out there, there is a "mark." There are way too many bargain hunters out there getting "bargains they didn't bargain for." Be thankful he didn't get you this time. I would stay with a reputable seller and watch-out for private sales that are "bargains" - especially on watches that you can't see in person.

5500 for a DSSD? It's so way off the mark, you know something is going on...

i was also in contact with this seller today and again balked at sending new pics and upset I was treating them like a criminal. Funny thing is they were going to accept paypal this time and also mentioned the house closing although first it was on Monday then it was on Friday. Interesting that they were taking paypal this time around as paypal freezes the funding until there is proof of delivery then it takes 3-4 days to transfer providing plenty of time to get it authenticated and file a dispute to again freeze the funds. Oh well, another case of too good to be true. Besides anyone looking for a "quick sale" on a DSSD just has to price it a few hundred dollars below the common market price of used at give or take 8500. Even at 7500 it's a smoking deal so why discount an extra 2K if you don't have to.

Glad you passed on this deal. What I meant is the card and watch the scammer claimed to have is either non existent or you'll just get a rock instead of a watch. what's in the picture maybe real or a good quality fake. There are a few scammers on the other forums and was here on TRF as well selling "watches" that just smelled rotten
