Hi from the Blue Mountains of NSW Australia

Another Australian member!
I moved with my wife from Sydney to a little mountain village in the Blue Mountains (2 hours from Sydney so it's not all that isolated) about four years ago, and brought with me my much-loved Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 'superlative chronometer' -- I really like the Date much more than the Datejust models as it's smaller and, I think, smarter -- mine is s.steel, very elegant, with tapering steel band which starts off at 19mm and tapers to 13mm at the clasp. No numbers on the dial, just small marker-bars. Very clean design indeed.
I'm not sure of the date but I think it's circa 1960. It's never missed a beat!
Cheers all and I look forward to sharing in our obsession!
