Icon5 Question on my GMT IIc..

When I pull out the crown to the first stop to wind it, it only moves one way. it won't rotate both directions. I know I should know this answer but my brain is fried tonight.

If I take the watch off and I am looking at the crown, it only turns to the right using my thumb on the bottom of the crown.
If I try to turn it towards my left it has a lot of resistance, so much in fact I won't try to turn it.

Should it turn both ways ??????

So in winding mode it only turns clockwise, it won't turn counter clockwise.
Thx

I'd suggest there is somthing not quite right...n:

I've just checked my 1 week old model, and in winding mode it turns clockwise with a small amount of resistance, and it free wheels in the anti clockwise direction..

In other words it turns anti clockwise, with virtually no resistance....

It should wind away from you and free-wheel towards you.

Yep, should turn both ways, but only "winds" in the clockwise direction.

As has been stated above, yes it should....

Have you tried the hour jump position?? In this position you can use the counter clockwise direction to move the hour hand backwards....does this work for you Mark?

Ok, all my GMT's feel they have the same tension going clockwise or counter clockwise when the crown is pulled out in all 3 positions.
Turning one way is very easy, the other way just a bit of tension.

So all is good I hope
Thanks everyone
