Y serial seems a little late for punched papers. Can anyone provide any insight on the warranty certificate below? It could just be that the watch was purchased in Hong Kong and that's how they did things at the time.

Yes, they still punched them in 02.

Actually, it looks a little suspicious and the whole #'s are too "readable".

That's what I thought. With this newer type of warranty certificate...which was used up to early Z models, everything is usually typed, not punched.

Looks alright to me.

If it matches the serial number of the watch and the watch is good then there's no problem, especially if the price is reasonable and the seller an honourable person.

I have one from the same place (888-OWC-HK), Z serial, dated 2007.
Exactly as yours and also exactly as another two from the same era but different place (780).

Can't comment about the slanting Y though...

Yes its real. However grain of salt time. It was possible to get REAL unstamped/punched papers when they had those new papers come out. Good con artists bought them and doctored them. HOWEVER - that was only for the typed ones, the punched ones were much harder to fake properly with perforations.

If the serial matches the watch its 100% good to go.

Perforated serials were used for international watches. USA watches had typed.
