Should I change it?
Hello,
I'm a Rolex noob and getting the hang of it because of a recent gift I bought for my father. I bought him the Rolex Daytona 116523 (Steel and Gold) Mother of Pearl Dial with diamond numerals. He loved it, he just didn't like the fact that it doesn't have the date which can be useful vs. the chronograph and tachymeter (on the bezel) which he will never use. He's 62 btw. He asked me if I can change it to the Submariner 116613 (Steel and Gold) blue dial with diamond numerals. I want to go to my AD and see if anything can be done. It's never worn, all protection and tags are as is etc. My dad told me if nothing can be done, or if there will be some kind of loss, then don't bother, he'll settle with it, but I wouldn't want to have that thing at the back of my head, as it is my first gift for him. My question is which would you think looks/is better? Which has a better resale value? Would you recommend me to change it, given that I can? |
