Question for everybody....
Hi All,
I have a question (well actually a poll but I'm not too sure how to set one up) for everybody. Given a price of $10,900 ... would you .... 1) Spend over retail for a NIB steel daytona (white dial) -or- 2) Spend under retail for a NIB 18K white gold daytona on a strap (same white dial) I'm not sure if this question has been asked before ... but if you have a white gold daytona on a strap, would it be feasible to buy the oyster bracelet for a steel model and fit it on the white gold case? Thanks to all for your input!! |

That bracelet would probably run a lot. Also the stainless and white gold would not match in color, especially over time.

I would vote for 1. It would probably be a better investment in the long run too if you were considering it as an investment piece which some people do.

About the YG Daytona on a strap: NO, you cannot add a steel or YG Daytona bracelet to it later on. Notice the special lugs on the YG/WG Daytona with the leather strap??? Those special lugs (or rather the prominent piece BETWEEN the lugs!) prevent a metal bracelet to be fitted to those models. You MIGHT be able to fit the bracelet by having the case ALTERED, but I would not recommend that. So to put it shortly: If you buy a YG/WG Daytona on a LEATHER strap, you GOT a YG/WG Daytona on a leather strap......for LIFE!

Yes, that's right!
Very expensive, indeed, but it also a very well-made bracelet
