Dodgy MilSub eBay UK

The MilSub currently on eBay UK has been flagged by Mike Wood on VRF as being dubious.

eBay item....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1508313516...d=351561556590

Not sure if anything had been posted already on this so apologies if I've duplicated another thread I just wanted to get the info out ASAP.

5514 is a specific Comex reference. Milsubs are 5513, 5517(specific Milsub reference)and dual references.

And most importantly--yes this listing is a fraud as the watch and pics do not belong to this seller--FRAUD!

If we have evidence of this I can maybe do something about it, can you point me in the right direction.

Yes, I have seen this, it is not evidence though as that new seller could be relisting the same watch using the same text/pics as when he purchased the watch. That has been done legitimately before.

I know, unlikely, For the moment I'll see what else turns up,

The ebay listing claims that the report from the 'watch expert' was written last week, yet the text is taken from the 2010 forum posting.

This is the link to Mike's VRF post....

http://www.network54.com/Forum/20759...raud%21++--%28

I haven't investigated it any further, I just thought it prudent to post it here earlier and left it at that as I've had to be elsewhere all today. And I'm still away so I can't expand on it anymore than I have already.

Good luck!
Paul.

I think some folks do not understand the issue. There is nothing wrong with the watch in the pictures. The issue is the listing is a scam.  Those pictures belong to mike wood.  Mike wood knows the location of that watch and it ant with the person who listed it on eBay.   In summary:  it is a scam...  At least ask the seller for a picture of the watch with a selected time and back round. Can eBay at least warn the winner of the issue?
