red submariner

just yesterday i found that a watch purchased 14 years ago is a red sub. i really thought it was a fake (bezel turned both directions, skimpy bracelet with the word "patented" spelled "pateted".) have since found this is trademark of that watch. I gave the watch to my father when my wife purchased a s/g sub for me in '01. I even told him not to worry about losing it or wrecking it. The band broke, and I did research to purchase another band when i ran across the term "red submariner". I don't know the value of such a watch, but i would presume it is worth more than my other watchs: 2001 s/g blue sub, 2002 kmovement S/S daytona, 1950 Bulova tank watch.

does anyone have an idea what a red sub is worth?
thx
