What Else Do You Collect? (Pic)

I begin collecting Mercury Dimes as a teenager and that eventually led to this little treasure box. The box got full about 30 years ago and I have not added anything since.

I have three receipts right now and plan to pick-up at least two more before the end of the year. It is a nice little deduction at tax time.

I have some high end firearms & knives but since getting into watches I have lost interest in collection weapons. The bad thing about gun collecting is you end up tying a lot of cash up in things that you rarely have a chance to play with. With my watches I get to wear them everyday which is far more rewarding then having a safe full of high dollar weapons. Besides that with all of the high profile shootings taking place in the US I am definitely concerned that there may come a day when our Government considers confiscating. I'm not at a point where I want to sell my toys but I'm not looking to aquire any more either. I'll stick with watches from here on out.

Guitars! I'll never be mistaken for a player but I guess I can call myself a collector!

Here's a couple representing the '60s and '80s:

I used to collect Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) memorabilia. The MISL lasted from 1978-1992, mostly on the east coast. A lot of great games, a lot of great players.

At one time I had probably the largest collection of MISL game video tapes ever assembled, over 500. I used to sell copies over the internet. Along with fellow average joe fans, former players and coaches used to contact me to buy/sell/trade tapes so they could watch them with their kids.

It really got out of hand as my basement once was bulging with jerseys, magazines, balls, tapes, etc. I finally sold it all to a young man in St Louis about three years ago.

I still have about 15 tapes but no way to watch them since I no longer own a vcr. Someday I'll have them converted to dvds, though.

I'm out of the collection biz as I'm really trying to simplify my life. But it was a wild ride while it lasted.

Soccer? In the Us..don't only girls play it there????!!!!???? Only kidding...nothing like a game of indoor footie.

On a 'football' theme I collect disappointments...I am a fan of Tottenham Hotspur. (look them up)!

I used to collect silver age comic books but now I collect rioja, port and cigars...although my collection never seems to get any larger!!!!!!

Nice collection USMCsilver. How's that Beta mag working out for you? Any feed issues?
I'd post pics of mine but if we get too many "assault" rifle pics on here the anti-gun folks get a little worked up, lol. Here's a link to my photobucket account if you're interested in checking them out.

I collect 1927-S quarters. Found one as a kid and collected ever since. There are 396,000 of them made, this picture of 410 was shot about 5 years ago.

I collect Dunhill pipes, and I have 202 of them now.

Here are my "Magnum" Dunhill pipes (typical measures are about a 3" heigh smoking bowl and a length of 10" !)

Top one is from 2000
Next one is from 2003
Bottom left one is from 1926 (never smoked)
Bottom right one is from 1924.
