2280 bubbleback authentication and price appraisal
Good afternoon fellas, came across this watch and don't know how much it's worth at all since I have no clue about vintage. Is this watch legit? And if it is, what would something in this condition be worth? THANKS

It's not a bubbleback, but a manual wind Oyster Royal. These boy's size Oysters are not that valuable (esp. in steel), but thankfully it still looks to have the original dial. As to value, an approximate range is $800-1500, depending on condition, or on who is selling to whom, and rarity of dial (i.e. original Roman-Arabic "California" dial or sector or mirror track dials bring a premium). This one is a nice original salmon dial, though.
Be aware that this is small, about 29-30mm in diameter.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I greatly appreciate it. I was askin because the seller wants $2,800 for it. Now that you've given me a price range of where to expect, this watch is way over priced. Again, thanks again because if not, I would've gotten it like a fool.
