Suit With New Explorer

Hello Friends,

I'm heading over to the UK next week for a wedding and was wondering whether I could get away with wearing my new explorer II 42mm with a suit. Does anyone here wear it that way daily, and if so, is it comfortable? I'll be wearing a dress shirt with French cuffs. Pics welcome and thanks in advance. The alternative would be to bring my Daytona and or IWC.

Personally I'd wear the 5001.

Thanks Mike. It just means that I'll be traveling with two watches as I don't wear my 5001 daily.

Explorer will look superb; i often wear mine with a suit whilst travelling on business and it's great. Also looks the business with casual wear and the GMT is a constant benefit

Thanks Adam. Too bad the wedding wasn't in the late fall, than I could wear the 116300.

The Explorer will be fine. I wear dress slacks, long sleeve shirt and a jacket with a Rolex Professional Model all the time.

I wear a suit daily and I alternate between my Explorer II Polar 16570 and my Rose Gold Date Just. I think the Explorer looks great in a suit.

Your Sub would look good with a suit - is this not an option?

I think the Explorer II would be fine with a suit, but then again I might not be the best person to advise. I've worn a Timex ironman with a suit in my time.

EXP II42 looks good with a suit. Didn't you see the pic of Prince Harry here with his Exp II42 with his formal wear? You'd fit right in with the royal family. Enjoy!

Look you can wear whatever watch you want too in the UK, we invite the person to the wedding and not a watch of any make or brand..

I agree with the others that both the 5001 and 216570 both will work fine. Wear what you want...who cares what anyone else thinks??

Would definately go great with a suit.

Sorry, no pics from me. You've been loving your new Exp2 lately so I'd say go with that.

Perfect, I'd take the Explorer for visiting and bring the Port Auto for the wedding.

It is, but I can't seem to take my new Explorer II off and I'm leaving on Monday, so chances are that it will come with me.

I'm not a GQ sorta guy, but I'm still somewhat fashion conscious. I wear suits for work, so that's more than not, and I never hesitate to wear my Explorer II 42. My watch doesn't typically show much, as it's partially covered by the shirt sleeves, but I think it would be just fine if it did. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it at a wedding. Have fun!
