Hi,
England did the exactlly same game than against Australia. They have this capability to make the best teams play like dopes. French kicks were pityfull but they insisted playing this way. To me the solution was on the wings. Anyway, well done. |

Chris, you're going to want to wind your neck in, and I mean right the hell now.
It's just a bloody game, so get a grip and behave yourself. You're way out of line with all this war, concentration camp and subspecies crap. I don't give a rat's how excited you are - we've got no space for any "master race" attitudes here, and if I see any more of this from you, you're out the door with no questions asked.

Sir Gedanken, this has been dealt with by moderator Paulie (Mailman) a few days ago via pm.I have already apologized..Its been sorted out.He specifically said I lose no infringement points .As far as I am concerned ,case closed.
So perhaps it a bit late, for you, to jump on my back, now.I must say ,I dont appreciate your "Master Race" remark. I accept this is now a thing of the pastPlease feel free to contact Mailman to confirm. Life and the forum goes on . |

You may not appreciate the "master race" remark, but seeing how you quite happily dragged issues of wars and concentration camps into a discussion about a silly game, deeming fit to class a nation as a subspecies, I stand by my description of your mentality.
Regardless of how many hours (72 at the most?) old your posts are, it doesn't change the fact that I'm putting you on notice for your behaviour. Also, you may have apologised to Paul, but from Teofilo's response you seem to have apologised to the wrong person, and I see no sign of any apology to Fitchy either - as such, the case is not necessarily closed as you assume, even if you don't get any infraction points. Vis-a-vis your not receiving any points at this time, I suggest you re-read my previous post carefully, in particular the bit that states: Quote:
Moving ahead, I expect to see no more of this sort of thing from you.

What I expected from my initial postings was some needle back, from the English rugby supporters. To really let me have it.Yet boringly, this did not happen.Instead, moderators was involved.Huge offense taken by all and now I'm made out as some bloody Nazi "master race" person by Gedanken.Subspecies as in division of species not as bloody inferior !!! Go and look at the English newspapers ...taking the mickey out of Percy Montgomery.Huge pic of Percy with the words "Mess with his hair and you win the world cup".Before the group match when Jonny was injured,a reporter wrote "Jonny is now so injury prone that he should be careful when he cracks his hardboiled egg, that he does not tear a ligament" In the TRF world I am sure they would have called their legal representatives by now .... ??? When England played Germany in the Euro cup a few years ago,the press had a field day and bought WW II up constantly."Fritz" and "Blitzkrieg" on many headlines. At least most saw a funny side to it ............... Our cardiovascular perfusionist is a raw Pommie. Now imagine what we have said to each other,in the run up to this game.Tomorrow in hosp,we all dress up in our Springbok attire,he will sport his English shirt and we will have a great time.I promise you he is safe and wont be tortured, cooked and eaten. He married a SA girl and we have said many times he has now messed up our gene pool .... Funnily,he laughed about it.We have been working together for 7 years. So perhaps, the problem lies not with me,but with your utter lack of insight in history, the game and perhaps any sense of humour. This game has an illustrious history. Our Currie Cup was donated by Sir Donald Currie in 1890.Heaven forbid,an Englishman. There is a lot of history involved in this game,so dont call it silly. I can assure you,its dear to many and thats many across the world.Did you see that tears of pride and passion in the Argentinians eyes when their anthem was played ??? So there you have it.You decide now,Gedanken. You want to ban me,go ahead. You can also stick that "master race' remark up your ... To all the English and Springbok supporters, enjoy the game ... and yes,Fitchy, that includes you. |

This is not appropriate in itself as there is a policy on almost every forum about generating animosity amongst members. It is a 'troll' tactic. Further, you used race as the basis of your 'needle work' which is again clearly outside the policy of this forum and the terms upon which you agreed to abide when joining the forum. The negative reactions to your post (as you had so engineered it) came from regular members. Only after that did the moderators get involved. Now you refuse to take the advice of the moderators, and act as though they are the bad guys in all this. A number of posts had to be moderated in reply to your post because of the displeasure you successfully incited. It seems, for the good of the forum, that there is no alternative open in these circumstances. |

Well, that's that. I don't know how this guy thinks that ragsheets and locker-room banter have anything to do with justifying his inane behaviour, and frankly his muckraking smacks of David Duke more than anything resembling jocularity.
Gee, classifying a culture as a subspecies. Speaking of history, Berlin 1933, anyone? Thanks for pulling the plug on this guy, Steve. We don't need that sort of trash around here.

When I first lurked at the start of the year Blue Bull,Kansaivet and Leopardprey were the posters that I always looked out for.
Gradually though Blue Bull got more and more spiteful in his comments. I was away in Yorkshire during this latest sh~tstorm, so missed most of the offending comments, although Fitchy pm'd me some of the details. This is just so bad on what is supposed to be a friendly forum. On the bright side does that mean that Uncle AJ will be back ? I am grateful to Gedanken and other moderators for taking a firm line with anyone on the forum who deliberately sets out to cause real upset to other members. I work in a robust enviroment and dont need pampering, but some things are just wrong and need sorting quickly and firmly. |

Thank you, Peter. I do hope Adrian returns as well - he's always been a true gent.
One of the implications of having an open-door policy is that we've got the full gamut of personalities and world views coming aboard, so there are bound to be clashes. For most part, our members are mature enough to understand that freedom of speech is necessarily accompanied by the responsibility to exercise prudence in speech. Guys like Tom or Chad are outspoken but they don't go out of their way to offend, and from my experience most members have been excellent in sorting things out once they realise things have gotten out of hand. On the other hand, just because we welcome people doesn't give anybody the licence to strip down to his knickers, hijack the television remote control, raid the beer fridge and then holler for room service. Blue Bull not only failed to acknowledge what he did wrong, he tried justifying it with irrelevant historical references. It's the old snake-oil salesman's trick: if you cannot convince, confuse. Well, it's just tough luck that kind of lame smoke screen doesn't work here. The message he sent out was that he thought there was nothing wrong with what he did, and that he was justified in doing it again. The obvious conclusion, then, was that the needs of the community here were outweighed by his wishes to do as he bloody well pleased, so his continued presence here was pointless.

Congratulations to the Springboks for a well fought game and commiserations for England who were gracious in defeat.
This match was tryless. No tries from either the Springboks or England. It is almost getting to be as boring as a scoreless FA Cup Final and I have seen a few of those! After watching many years of Rugby, I believe from a spectator point of view that the game is now not what it used to be. In the past one could absolutely enjoy the game because there were always tries coming, even in a big international match, orchestrated by star players. It was wonderful and exhilarating to see. It seems to me that coaches have now worked out the opposing sides tactics and game plans so well, that it becomes a virtual stalemate as far as open Rugby goes. I do hope that the next RWC will be a lot more entertaining for the spectators in the stadium and watching on TV, which ever the teams might be. Steve |
