Very nice combo. that book looks like a good one to have around.

Are their any books that have all the sport models from the beginning to current models?

Yes, that is a very comprehensive book!

Must be nice to have some of the classic oldies pictured there!

How current does it go? I would like to see some of the more recent models also.

You know, that's a good question. It's at home, and I'm at work, so I can't give you a definitive answer from here. If no one else chimes in, I'll try to remember to look it up when I get home.

Even though the book was published only a few years ago, since the focus is on vintage watches I want to say it cuts off around the mid to late '80s.

The 16800 is the latest Sub. The 16750 is the latest GMT. 1655 for the EXP II and so on....

The matt dial 16750 ran untill circa 1884-85 when Rolex switched to gloss with WG surrounds (though nothing is set in stone, I'm aware of at least one 16750 with matt dial that dates to 1987.)

The 16800 while a sapphire reference ran from about 1980 to 1988 or so, again with the switch to gloss WGs in the mid 80s.

In mid 1985 the reference 1655 was replaced.

It is a very good book with one problem. All the watch pics are computer generated. It would have been perfect if it showed actual watches. JMHO =) maverick
