Okay -- some of y'all would kill me for this, but it was a mistake, and a stupid one at that.

The other day at work, I was sitting there doing nothing, bored outta my damned mind, and started playing with a paper clip. I stretched it out, and was poking around in a keyboard, then inside the fan vents in the CPU, and the novely wore off quickly. So, I turned to my watch.

Well, as most of y'all know, there's platinum in that pretty ceramic bezel. So, well, I don't know quite how to say this, but I kinda fiddled around with the paper clip and the nice triangle at 12 o'clock. It scratched the hell outta that triangle with very little pressure. It is not noticable unless while in the right light, but I seem to notice it almost everytime the light is right and I glance at my watch.

Again, as stated time and time again, I don't care about scratches if they were "accidental" but this one was from a stupid mistake and boredom.

Stupid paper clip!

Yes, office work can be dangerous for your Rolex!

Remember JJ scratching the bezel of his Explorer II on a filing cabinet??

But don't worry too much about it

Accidents happen, and you can have the scratch removed at the next service of your watch.

They should have filled the numbers with epoxy.

Do you have loupe? Put it over the spot, then use the macro function on the camera and place camera on top of the loupe. I just read on the internetS that this works great! :)

Odd, but when I use the loupe to examine it, it can only be seen from one side.

Kinda like suede, ya know. Rub one way, it shows up, rub the other, it doesn't.

That ain't so bad.. Get yourself one of these and fix it up in no time..

seriously: Give it a good wash and use a soft toothbrush lightly on the bezel and it might just disappear.

(don't tell the wife you used her toothbrush)

Your home and office are the most dangerous places for your watch. Under the ocean, on safari and desert combat are probably safer.
