Are you trying to buy a watch? It's very simple how to do this safely. Buy at an authorized dealer, or buy from a highly trusted reseller such as those known here in the Sales area. Aside from those options you are putting your money at severe risk, especially if you are not knowledgeable. I think that is the case, judging from the posts so far.

Make it easy for yourself and just commit to buying from a safe source only.

Oh the ProHunter series? It's just a company that makes limited series run of a common rolex model and then charges a whole crap load for it....no my cup of tea

I'd be very careful. Even Bamford and Pro Hunter Rolexes are being fakes and these looks like fakes.
2 different watches though, I doubt, that someone will be parting with 2 black Rolexes at the same time.

Sounds dodgy, looks dodgy.

Seriously guys. I am all for welcoming new members and answering any question as I asked plenty at first and was met with nothing but patience and kindness.

But, this guy posts pictures of two different watches and is asking if they are real and rare or just fake. I mean come on. Even my wife that knows nothing about watches peaked over my shoulders and said "that's fake right?" I explained that it could be real just made to look that way and she (knowing nothing about watches) answers "I wouldn't risk it".

If this is not one of those "please tell me why this is fake" threads, then I apologize, but me tinks dif'rent.

Last time I checked, the 16610 did not come with PCLs. ( see the ebay pics). Try to stay away from these afternarket PVD junk.
You will have on hell of a time selling it or restoring it backto original. Plus if something goes wrong with it, RSC will most likely
refuse to perform a service.

One more "is this authentic?" thread from the OP and it's bye bye time.

Please could someone report any instances of such since it's so easy to miss when I'm scanning the lot.

I fully agree with Pep.
Even my dog can tell these watches are fakes.
Very fishy.

Pardon my ignorance; but what does "OP" designate?

From original poster, Mottykyto.

Standard "is this real?" threads in the Watchout section are OK, unless done in droves by the same person.

I'm very new (joined today) but have learned a whole lot already. I know this watch is fake but is there a real version?

I (don't shoot me) picked up a 'toy' watch just like this in Vietnam on a busienss trip recently. It ccost me a whole £50 so now big deal. I wanted to see if I could tolerate wearing a big heavy Rolex and all the things that it brings. I can ;)

So now I'm about to buy a new DSSD in black/steel (is there another option?) for £8k in London (being held on returnable deposit) next week. I would love a real black one like this but the only hint of one I've seen is an auction at Christies a few years back which went for £30k. Some Jacques Picard special edition.

Reading the forum (for the first time) today it seems Rolex do not make a black version of anything and I'd have to get it covered (via some special voodoo chemisty) which I don't think is a good idea.

Is the only real option to go buy an new standard one and just love it all the same?
