FS: Vintage RED 1680 Submariner with box, papers and goodies!!
Greetings all. I've finally decided to start posting some of my beloved vintage Rolex pieces here in the For Sale section. My collection has grown larger than I ever imagined it would, and my goal now is to reduce it while picking up a grail piece or two.
Offered here is my 3.1M serial RED 1680 Submariner, which comes with punched Rolex guarantee papers, period correct box, cigarette card and plastic Triplock tag. I originally sourced this from a highly regarded vintage dealer that posts here on TRF, so authenticity is guaranteed. This comes with a MK V (partially closed 6's) dial and a 9315 bracelet with 580 end pieces (clasp code indicates it's a couple years newer than the 1680 itself). As for references, a quick search of the TRF Who's Who section will reveal that I've sold a 16623 and traded a 14060 COSC here recently, as well as sold a 14000 about a year ago. I've also sold a PAM 048 on another forum, which the buyer there will be happy to give me a positive reference. I'm located in the SF Bay Area, so a local transaction in a public location is more than welcome. Otherwise, insured shipping in the US of your choosing will be at cost. International shipping would be considered, but only if the buyer agrees to full insurance as well as full declaration of value. My price is $12,500 for the package, which is quite reasonable based on what I've seen available online and in vintage watch For Sale sections over the past several years. Payment by wire transfer or Paypal (3% to be added to sale price due to Paypal transaction fees). On to the pictures!!

By request, additional pics of the fat lugs, between the lugs and MK V partially closed 6's dial. For the vintage aficionados concerned about overpolishing, this is the RED Sub you want to own. My camera skills aren't good enough to show the chamfers/bevels, but they are absolutely there and are gorgeous.

Adding pics of the 9315 bracelet with 380 ends (I mistakenly posted they were 580s; 380s were also shipped with red 1680 Submariners). 12 links total, so this will fit anyone short of a heavyweight bodybuilder type.......

Surprisingly still available. I can pull the bracelet and/or accessories to bring the price down. Obviously, the watch and papers have to stay together.

Getting close with the offers. Someone is going to add a nice vintage set to their collection.

Last bump before I start posting this on additional watch forums (where it will be by far the cheapest red 1680 with b&p).

Work & family kept me away from TRF and the watch scene in general, but I'm back. Looking at what dealers are charging for red 1680s in comparable condition but less in the way of accessories, I'm really surprised someone here hasn't picked this up.
