Rolex Daytona Help
Hi everyone. New to this forum
Just purchased this daytona off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/300734851081...#ht_500wt_1363 I did a google search on the seller username and it landed me here. Apparently the seller had tried to sell the same daytona last year with stolen photos and the item was taken off ebay. My question: anyone think this guy went straight and is selling the real thing or is he back to his old tricks? Here is the link to the forum entry last year:http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=2676172 thanks all! |

Very poor photos maybe done for a reason that way, he shows no reference numbers in any photos or any good look at the dial configuration and font. a picture of a fake sub mixed in from what I see also taken from afar so you can't see the dial font properly and no date magnification easily seen still. I would never buy that watch sorry or off that seller. I would pull out of the deal and buy one off a trusted seller. Regards

Personally, I would not buy something like a Rolex on eBay unless I know the seller personally, or I know they have a great reputation, or I can personally inspect the watch before handing over the money. Much safer to pay a bit more and get from a proper well established shop, or AD, or a trusted seller.

The fact that the seller has a picture of a fake sub while trying to sell a Daytona is all you need to know. Run fast, run far. If you already bouhgt it, I'd put in a dispute fast!!

There seems to be a high correlation between receiving a watch by way of a dead relative and the watch being a problem.
