Jubilee Bracelet Question
I am usually a very reluctant buyer but I came across this Jubilee bracelet from a TRF'er with a ton of history here, I bought it and now that I handle it I have doubts. Does this clasp look legit? This is the sellers photo:
The crown on the clasp looked rough, but I knew this was a refinished bracelet, so I just kind of attributed that to it. It mounted up fine to my GMT, but the colors of the steel appears a little off, but that may just be my OCD. Any help would be appreciated. |

Hey Oz,
The clasp looks OK to me - I have one like it that I have had for a few years now on an older DJ - I repinned it myself, and now its working great and is pretty close to yours. The bracelet is probably OK, as well; however, the jubilee bracelet is historically more polished, centers glossier (perhaps a little harder stainless from working), the links somewhat less glossy (softer). What looks a little odd about yours is that the links appear to be kinda rough, brush-textured almost like an oyster, or the clasp, rather than polished. Maybe its just the pic. I could not pick up on any color deviation, but if there is one somewhere, that might be from a heat (excess friction in one spot) when it was being refinished. You might want to wait for another opinion on the bracelet before doing anything too crazy. Luck in getting this figured out, I know that you are counting on this giving you those extra options on the GMT. |

Thank you sir for your reply. I realized last night in doing some research that the stamping is correct. The crown on the right is what started giving me concerns. I always knew too that the Jubilee is a light bracelet and have handled them before, but I think that threw me a little too.
Any other opinions are greatly appreciated as well, the more the merrier! |

Your bracelet looks genuine. I placed a thread on here some time ago regarding these Jubilee bracelets with the small coronet stamped on the inside of the clasp. These bracelets were counterfeited like many of the other Rolex bracelets, but your bracelet does not contain the attributes of the counterfeit version.

Your good to go
although I would have a good watch tech polish the center section and re-brush the outside...along with a good ultra-sonic cleaning.. |

There is a thread now, in the Watchout section, regarding one of these bands which is the counterfeit version.
