Have I Bought A Dodgy Tudor

Hi

Wonder if you can help. I bought a lot at auction (an auction house not internet) which included a watch which they claimed to be a Tudor wristwatch. Having picked it up and worn it for a few days I really like it and rather than sell it on thought I would keep it and do a bot of research. I now kind of wish I hadn't!

While the watch runs perfectly and looks nice, I see that it has a model and serial number on outside of the back plate is that wrong? Also having looked up the model number (7958) I see that most people seem to think it is a fake one.

So I guess my question is, do I have a nice fake watch that I can wear and enjoy for what it is or is it genuine and maybe worth more than I paid for?
