18k yellow gold Daytona model and price?
I've been offered a trade for an 18k yellow gold Daytona w/ a white face and 8 diamonds on the dial. The seller described it as "The Daytona is a superlative chronometer and oyster perpetual. As well as 18k. It is from the early 90s, late 80s."
Waiting on a picture and will obviously meet at an AD before making the trade, but wondering if anyone can help me on what model# this could be and an approx range of value depending on the condition? I'm trading 2 lots of land valued at $19k combined, so I want to make sure that I"m making a good trade if it goes through. Thanks! Marc |

Could be a 16528
If the watch is generally in good condition and all genuine then I would say its a good deal for you - looking at the few for sale here and the fact that land is less liquid than a watch. |

Did he say it came on an 18k bracelet with all 13 links? Or a strap?
If a strap - you're getting a poor trade. You're doing the right thing to have it verified thoroughly at an AD.

He didn't say if all 13 links were included but it does have the bracelet, not a strap. And since I'm no expert I'd have to bring it to an AD, there's no way I'm getting burned for almost 20 grand!
He's supposed to come up this weekend to see the land, I'll keep you updated. |

Haven't gotten the pictures yet, but did get some more information:
The model is a 16528. (You were right!) It is a Original Rolex Design. #103 on the band And its register # is 78668. All links are included with the band. |

See the attached pics he sent, any more advice or info? I want to make sure that if there's anything wrong with it I find out before taking a trip to the AD, since it's about a 2 hour drive in each direction for me... |

I am no pro , but looking at other similar models , most have the 30 upside down ( others I suspect are less legit ).

Thanks for your help with the pics, couldn't quite figure out how to get them to display...
So is the general consensus based on the pics that its worth at least making the drive to the AD to have it verified? Thanks again for all the input and info, love these forums!! |

Well, bad news the guy decided against making a trade so the search continues... Thanks again though for everyone's help, I appreciate the feedback!
