Pre-pay for new Submariner 114060?
My local AD doesn't have the new 114060 in yet. I added my name on a list of people who want one.
They said I could pay for it now and as soon as it comes in I would get it. Instead of someone getting there before me. And if I pre-paid then Rolex might send one earlier. Any one else do this? Did it work out? Seems odd. |

I wouldn't bother, sounds like your AD just wants a confirmed sale. After the inital hype and rush it won't take longer than a couple of months before these are sitting in the display cases and as readily available as every other rolex and probably being discounted. Already been lots for sale in the forum For Sale section..

Rolex won't send one any quicker, regardless of whether people have placed money on them. Be patient, these won't be in short supply

Don't get me wrong, I'm getting one for sure, but not until the hype subsides. |

Unless you MUST HAVE IT first I would wait for 1-2 months....then you can just pick one up in store....that's what I did with my new 42mm Expy II....up to you though mate - you win either way, but the second way you may save a few bucks!

I wouldn't pre-pay for any watch. In fact, I would have a hard time giving that AD my business after being told that load of crap

Here too. I really wonder about these 'lists'. I've been spun this line in the past, sometimes to shortly thereafter find the model in question in the AD's display. Really, it's all just sales tactics Pre-payment is a bad idea... sounds like full retail, no discount, money which could be earning you interest... Plus, you will want to look the watch over carefully before parting with a Cent

X2.......plus that's a lot of cash to pay upfront, if the shop closed you'd lose all your money. Better off putting down the bare minimum if anything or talk to a trusted seller right here on TRF. Saves you some money and you get the watch now, good luck.
