Hello everyone,

I just picked this Explorer up from a reliable source and just wanted to show the professionals on TRF and make sure the Explorer and bracelet is real. Is the bracelet the correct model for this particular watch? It didn't come with the certificate. It has 12 links. Is it supposed to have 13 links?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi, cant see the band reference that clear in the pics but if its a 78790A it should have 801 endpieces which it looks like you have, if you take a photos of the clasp markings we can date it also to see if its made around the same time as the watch which is a Y serial, note a few years either way is ok as band are often and few years earlier than the watch case and vise versa regards

The band does say 78790A and it does have 801 end links.

Does the watch itself look authentic? How many links should the band have?

hi thanks for the extra photos but i really want to see the other half of the clasp where it has the band reference number and date code not the registered swiss made half, the watch otherwise looks ok to me
