I'm guessing since you have made it 18 years you didn't accomplish that by buying yourself a Rolex instead of getting your wife a present on your many anniversaries. So both would be a safe bet in my mind.

I always provide a nice dinner, a bottle of wine, flowers, soft lights, and something nice for her..

Then I go out and get myself something nice.

Nice gifts, Miner. I hope you enjoy yours as much as she enjoys hers.

I'm a little ignorant about art - but that looks the style of Dali. Can you tell me about the painting?

For our 15th, my wife went to my favorite jewelry store (AD) and bought me my GMT.
About 5 hours later I went to my favorite jewelry store (AD) and bought her a diamond and emerald tennis bracelet. No wonder the guys at the store were so helpful. No wonder I got such a good deal on the bracelet.
Those guys really know how to keep a secret!

Ditto - I'd like to know more about that painting as well. You sound like a very thoughtful husband - congrats!

We had our wedding anniversary yesterday ( I received some beautiful roses that my children helped pick out ) - what more could i want??

Congrats, Miner!

Funny! That painting is VERY much Marc Chagall style!

FYI
The painting is called "To school one day" by Lori Pensini, a local (West Australian) self taught artist.

If you want any more info, just google her name.

Cheers and thanks for the kind words.

Well done Clive, my regards to you and your family. I love both the watch and the painting, does the artist have a website?
I am just about to get married, I am really looking forward to it, I have waited a long time for the right person!
