؟CF Diver ?

Hi guys ... I have never considered buying an AP before !!
Mainly because the prices are not what I am willing to pay for a watch "budget" and also didn't see any models that actaully caught my attention ...
An exeption would be the bee !! However chronographs are totally out of my system !!! And that kept me from thinking about it !!

That my freinds was in the past !!!!
Now that i saw the forged carbon diver ... In addition to you guys enabling on this subforum I am actually considering getting one and joining the AP club !!! :D

Do you guys have any idea on when they will hit the ADs ? Prices ?
Cheers

I hear September at the earliest you'd see em... Give or take depending on your country and area of course.

Should be next month. Most of the first shipments are already spoken for, but should be able to get here or at AP Boutique.

but Submarino and I can attest...the Stainless Diver is a thing of beauty and definitely a watch that can be dressed up or dressed down...the Steel is so lustrous (is this even a real word?) I feel like it looks quite shiny and beautiful. And the weight of it is very nice. The absence of yellow makes it look very classy in my opinion...oh and the steel one is probably going to be less than half of the price of the Carbon...just my two cents.

I LOVE my steel Diver.

Thanks for the replies ! was ecstatic when you said next month but was let down big time on the price ! (thanks mike and subMarino)
for price reference i bought my ford explorer 2010 for 24500 $

Thomas Lovely pictures and i agree with you on that retail price a bumble bee sounds like a better bargain ! BNIB for 24000 ... but like i said no more chronographs for me

i guess my best bet would be to wait till i find a good deal from a grey market dealer in the near future {hopefully}

regards
Aziz

Aziz, as stated by Jason, the SS Diver is an amazing watch. You won't be disappointed. Therefore, get one. Here are some of my pics to fuel your desire. The Diver is an all around watch and can be worn in every type of occasion.

Love the diver as well but i'll 2nd the addition of a ceramic bezel. The watch would be perfect.

I'm sure its really expensive but has anyone tried to source a ceramic bezel? Any idea if it would work? It would be one heck of a franken AP

I prefer the look of the stainless diver, but the carbon looks great as well.

I need to stop looking at pics of the stainless one...I really WANT that watch...

+1, i was interested in the cf diver before i bought the bumblebee and i immediately KNEW what i had to do when i learned of the price .. sure all swiss watches are overpriced and AP is especially overpriced in comparison to a rolex for example .. but the matter of VALUE and WORTH makes a big statement, and imho the cf diver is NOT worth 2x the SS

good luck on your search but you are talking about a BB bnib from the grey market right? even then, 24k is a bit low for the BB (unless i am completely wrong) not sure

that said, do not think of the Bumblebee as a chronograph

think of it as an OFFSHORE

this is also entirely true
i don't think i can realistically ever go back to a steel bezel on an AP

While I do agree with the above statement (the peace of mind from ceramic is worth it's price), from a visual standpoint I think the look of steel will hold more long term value in terms of aesthetics.

The steel bezel of the diver looks shinier than my panda's for some reason. I always catch myself looking at its reflection when I'm by a mirror.

Although I now own a offshore with carbon&ceramic my every day/everywhere watch will still probably be a Diver in SS. It's got great weight, the rubber is super comfy and the dial is beautiful. And yes, that BIG steel bezel is super sexy.

I really like the ss diver. But how easy is it to scratch the bezel? As with all AP ss bezels it seems soooo fragile.

I'd live a CF diver but with another accent color than yellow. Perhaps the same blue as the limited ss version.

Don't let the distance discourage you. It's amazing what the combination of email - plastic - Fed Ex can accomplish! In any case, have fun hunting for your next watch!

3. totally agree with your point of view a CF divers' price is more than i would pay for ....
