Which Yacht Master is this?

My friend received a very sentimental watch from his father. He has the box and papers for this watch but just wants to know more info about it. What year did this watch come out? I see diamonds in it. He def does not plan on selling this watch but he would like to know the current value. Thanks a lot!

That watch is not of Rolex manufacture. It's 100% counterfeit.

What a disappointment that would be. Especially since it has the box and papers. Very deceiving.

I see so many of these "father" stories pop up in the 'Watchout' section.

Either there's a lot of cheap fathers trying to pull a fast one on their sons, or a lot of father's got ripped off, wore a fake Rolex for years without even knowing, then tried to pass it on.
