Probably a new Diver owner soon

Wanted to thank everyone for all the great Diver pics here. I am in the process of moving a few pieces around to make room for a Diver. This will be my first AP.

Quick question. with almost 8 inch wrists... im assuming ill need the XL rubber. how hard are those to come by. anyone got one for sale or know if their AD has one laying around? Id hate to get the Diver and have to wait a while to wear it!!

The strap that comes with the watch should work for you. The only caveat is that you will have to wear the strap on the first hole though.

Just call the APSC or Boutique. They'll sell you the XL... think it's $184.

The XL strap can be ordered thru your AD or Clearwater.

Ill post pics when i get it. its still in the "works." but ill be bragging on a certain TRF dealer soon! I just left a message for John in Clearwater.

Wow i cant thank you enough for your advice and "pre-congrats!" ha ha a tad premature but im excited. I typically dont purchase such pricey pieces.... but i sold my breitling.. and trying to sell my 112 and marathon to help out.

I simply dont need that many watches guys. so i decided if i sold two or three it would "feel" better spending that kind of cash. plus my 40th is coming up and ill just consider it a present to myself i guess.

I hope im doing the right thing. the SA never got any wear only saturday nights occasionally. im thinking the AP will go nice with my GMTIIc and will get plenty of wrist time.

since we all love to talk watches... what do you experts think? after selling my breitling and panerai im only about 5k out on cash for the diver.

Between your GMTIIc and the Diver, you won't need anything else but a dress watch.

Well, I know you have good taste. I just hate to see you part with such a rare classic like the SAR.

I get lots of PM's about those SAR so I'll try to dig thru some to see if I can help find it a good home.

And we have to get together sometime soon, been too long!

FYI Clearwater has NO XL straps. I called NY and they are shipping me one overnight. same price of course. 184 + 30 shipping.

Watch is in route to the fabulous TRF dealer and should arrive to me first of next week. Anyone looking for a great deal on a 112 or a RARE Marathon SAR i have them listed.

UPDATE! AP boutique in NY had my strap here in under 1 day. ordered around 3pm was on my door step when I got home today at 5pm. "Looks" long enough. Im pretty sure the regular strap would have had me almost at the last hole. I like a little tail on my strap.

NOW all i need is the DIVER!!! Lets do this!
