I'm not a diver (well except snorkeling ), but I've never given a thought to wearing any of the sport series in the wet (or anywhere else for that matter)

I would wear it for diving but not for any high impact or full body contact sports.

I havn't dived for many years, but that was the whole reason I bought a Sub back then.
Now days, Pam and I do a bit of snorkeling when we take a trip to the water and I will always wear which ever Rolex I have on the trip for this. Usually a Sub or an EXP II. |

Those that dive...
Do you rinse of your watch after being exposed to the salt water? Does corrision even affect tank of a watch like SUBs and SDs? |

I haven't been diving in 6-7 years, but that's why I originally bought my Sub in 1963. It (and I) have been down to 110 feet. I always rinsed it after immersion in salt water.

I've taken my Sub snorkeling in Hawaii and swimming in the Bahamas! Looking forward to more water adventures with it in years to come!

I have a salt water pool and in the summer I swim with it daily. When I get inside I just run it under the faucet for a bit and it's all good. That's what it's made for right, might as well take advantage of it.

I've only been diving twice since I got my SD in August. I wore it the first time but not last time because I had just gotten my Exp II the day before and wanted to spend time with it on the drive up and back. I didn't dive with the Exp, though I could have. Just didn't feel right somehow. That's what my SD's for.
As far as can the watches handle salt water--absolutely! But as others have said, wash and rinse it well. If it's still sticky, you haven't washed it well enough. Larry, what happened to the dress?

I wear a Sub even though I can't swim. If a watch is meant to be used diving, then it is tough and usually very easy to read at a glance. I'm blind as a bat without my glasses, but I can still tell time with the Sub without them!

I have taken my Subs, scuba diving. And yes, I rinse them the same time as I rinse my equipment after every dive. I get a weird look though as I whip out my 4 yr. old son's baby shampoo and lather up my watch.
