Rolex Classic Cellini 5115 fake?

My dad gave me a Rolex a while ago that he had gotten as a gift from a very wealthy patient of his in Philly. He doesn't really know if it's real or fake or really care, he's very frugal. Still, I'm interested to know if it's a genuine Rolex. I can post photos tomorrow, but I don't know if that's going to be necessary. From what I've investigated Rolex watches don't have any markings on the back. This one does have a very faint (only realized it was there when I held it against the light) engraving on the back that says:

5115
A991342
18k

Now I think that probably means it's a fake. I would like, one day, to be able to afford an elegant watch like this one, and it's not the end of the world if it is fake, and looking around your forums you all seem like a nice bunch of people.

TL;DR: Can anyone confirm that the existence of these engravings on this particular model absolutely means that it's fake?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

PS - I hope this is the right forum for this!

Hi Humberto, pics really can tell a lot about a piece and will definitely help. When you get a chance upload a few and you should get some input from the folks here.

There are a few exceptions to the no caseback engraving, including Cellini. Yours appears to be an authentic Cellini ref. 5115. The serial number would date it to between 1998 and 2000. You'd need to take it to a Rolex watchmaker to verify the movement.

Here are your images:

Thanks so much for putting them up like that, I didn't know how!! I appreciate the input, it's good to know that it appears real. So basically a watchmaker would need to open it up to tell? There are a couple of certified Rolex dealers here in Santiago, I'm guessing that would be the best place to take it. Thanks for the help everyone!!
