What am I looking at? Your help sincerely appreciated

Hello all,

First off, a couple of things:

1/ If you've got any thoughts, that's brilliant, thank you

2/ I have no information at all on the watch

3/ The photo is really quite terrible. I know there aren't appreciable details on the face etc, but lugs, hands, date, colour may indicate something to someone...

I picked up a spares/repair job lot on a well known internet auction site, and between two totally insignificant items I noticed that familiar crown. Now, (I may be flamed for this), but my knowledge is strong on Omega models and history, but fairly terrible on Rolex.

I've tried to do some researching, but the difficulty is that this looks very much like a dress watch (thin lugs, etc), and from what I can see, there are zillions of vintage variations on dress watches. But that's all I've got. Am I looking at something a little out of the ordinary, or junk...

not a model i know, take a photo of the back of the case if it is authentic that will have hallmarks and numbers on it, close up photos needed, i have a feeling it's not original sorry.
