Trying To Make A Decision

Hello Everyone

As some might know, I originally was trying to decide between the Diver and 15400. Now I'm having trouble deciding between the Diver, Safari or Panda. I like them all equally for different reasons and keep looking at pictures, but they are all so nice. The 15400 is still in the picture, but I think i will save that for another time. Just wanted to take a poll to see what the general consensus is out there. Keep in mind this will be my first AP. Thanks in advance for your input.

Tell me about it. I think these watch companies do it on purpose. :)

Very tough choice for sure.

For a first AP, Diver is amazing.

Panda and Safari look amazing, but make sure you are good with horn back strap.

Let us know what you decide.

"Hate" to be in your shoes...

because I'd have a hard time deciding too!. I really like the 'simple' dials so I'm gonna go with diver for its lume and daily wear-ability! But the Panda's dial is nice too...ahhhhh!!!!!. You decide and enjoy!

Diver is rubber and VERY comfortable. Panda and Safari are hornback without tang buckle. Some say the strap can become uncomfortable. However I like both Panda and Safari. I think diver is great all around. Let's face it you end up with more than one.

Both are very nice ROOs. I think it depends on how you dress.

I was on the fence between Safari and Panda.
At the end, I chose Safari because I prefer brown strap.

Not a huge fan of AP Rubber.

After I saw Dalip's pix of the diver on bracelet...it was all over!!! Of course that adds $2500 USD onto your purchase.

No losers in the bunch, Sandro. I was able to try on all three of these a few weeks ago, and the Diver was my immediate choice for my first AP. I love the look overall and, like Rob, I also gravitate to the clean black and steel contrast. The rubber is great, and I have been surprised by the overall comfort of this combination - I have pretty much worn it continuously since it arrived earlier this week. Another plus to me is that it also looks great on steel bracelet, so having both is a real option down the road.

I guess I just don't like the way the strap connects to the watch head...Imagine it is comfortable. The bracelet looks so much better IMO.

I plan on picking up a Diver (I'll get a bracelet for it as well), then a Panda (on a bracelet). I don't know witch of the 2 I would get if I could only have one...

Panda on bracelet was the logical first for me but you can't go wrong with the driver as your first either. The key word is "first" as you WILL reach out for your second AP within 12 months of your first. ;-)

I think he just swapped it out for the Bracelet. Probably still has it. There is a thread here somewhere with him striking various poses / out in the desert with his BMW.

Looks pretty cool - but don't tell him I said that.

If you get the diver, you can spend a couple thousand dollars on the bracelet and end up with two combinations that are both very nice but different. That's pretty good bang for you buck IMO. The panda of course is also a lovely watch.

I voted for the Diver. My second choice would be the Safari.

Be sure to try on the hornback strap/deployant combo before you buy as it doesn't fit all wrists.

Based on the poll, it looks like most are either diver or panda. Almost 50/50 at this point. It's good to know what others think.
