Sea-Dweller Ad 12/07 Scuba Diving Magazine back cover

Now on sale at finer magazine stores everywhere.

The photo is of the SD against a black background. The "Rolex, Rolex, Rolex," CRB is plainly visible. The time/date is the familiar 10:10:31/28. There is a two-inch Rolex green border along the bottom of the page.

The copy inside the border reads: The Rolex Sea-Dweller is waterproof to 1220 meters, thanks in part to an ingenious triple-seal system called the triplock winding crown. It screws down onto the oyster case as securely as a submarine hatch, and is tested at pressures far beyond the guaranteed depth, where only submarines have gone before.

Ok, about the CRB.

Thank God, you were kidding, Downing!

Can you take a pic of the AD and post it here, please?

I knew I'd get you, Bo.

I'll take a picture either tonight or this weekend and post it.

Thanks, Downing!

You only rarely see these SD ads, these days.

I'm not so sure about this style of advertising vs. the old "This is Red Adair...." National Geographic ads. While these ads certainly worked on my wife while strolling through Annapolis Mall, I like to read the stories of explorers, divers, etc.

I was thumbing through old issues of Wired the other day and found both style ads. I cut out the Explorer II ad that featured some dude walking 15,000 KM through the snow.
