AD in Portland?
Now that Carl Greve shut down last year, any other worthy ADs in Portland?
Service is important. Discounts are better...:) RVD. |

Basically, it's Ben Bridge. I think there's one independent, but not sure what their stock is going to look like.
But if you're going to be going to BB, you may as well check out the new Boutique at 4th and Pike in Seattle. |

There's Packouz in downtown Portland. They have decent stock, and they'll order whatever you want. We stopped in there randomly one Saturday to kill some time before dinner, and they happened to have a Sub Date C. I finally decided that I wanted it a couple weeks later, called, and they were out of stock, but offered to order it. I put down a deposit and I got it in two weeks. Friendly staff with no pressure.

Carl Greve was the place. Discounts. No tax. Great staff and service and a full bar for you to have a drink. They unfortunately wnet out of business. They were my only AD I bought for myself and at the request of members here 20 + Rolex there. Sadly they are gone.
Packhouse is ok. Small selection, but they can order for you and Mr. Packhouse is a really nice guy. However without the competition of Carl Greve right down the street breathing down their neck I doubt a discount will see the light of day in there. |

I was just at Packouz yesterday, and wasn't terribly impressed with the staff's knowledge. They have a great inventory, but I'm thinking they may not be an AD? They're not listed on the Rolex website, and Ben Bridge made a point of stating that they are the only AD in Portland now.
I did overhear another customer negotiating at Packouz, so discounts are evidently possible. |

Again, I enjoyed my experience with Packouz. They are "worthy" imho. And yes, I bought a couple of Rolexes at Carl Greve when they existed, so I do have something to compare it to.

After reading this thread I stopped by Packouz the other day and tried out the new Sub 114060. Spoke with Larry Packouz, very knowledgable and friendly.

$550 discount. i thought it was pretty good as it was about the same price as most of the trusted sellers here (and they are an AD).

I got the 116610LN - black ceramic sub. i guess the discount depends on what your base price is. MSRP: $8550 i don't even know what the sales tax rates are so i just looked them up. i think they are Seattle: 9.5% so the price out the door is roughly: Seattle: $9362 I paid $7900 out the door. It was the same whether I paid with cash or credit so I put it on my credit card. I only shopped at ADs and I only went to a few ADs. Some were willing to deal but not much. One place actually had the after tax price written on the tag so when I was asking them to give it to me for $7700 on their $9300 price tag they thought I was crazy... RVD. |
