Well, it's the 12th... So new iPhone today!

I've been looking forward to this, going to watch every second of the keynote, once it's available online.

And when I'm done, I'll be ordering the iPhone 5.

So who else is excited?

Apparently a mate of mine who works at one of the larger mobile phone resellers will be having his first delivery on the 20th..... So he kindly "put one aside for me"......

(but my contract is kinda complicated, so not sure how this is going to work.... Maybe he can also work on my current business mobile plan )

A rare occasion Dalip, we agree! I just hope it is a truly "new" phone if you understand, not just a 4S in a new case with a couple new additons.

Since we're a bit behind time wise here in the States, has anyone seen an actual official anouncement/description/release anywhere else in the world?

Not sure what you're referring to with this statement Paul?

I hardly interact with you - That is outside of the series of issues/problems TRF Admin had to spend a lot of time dealing with that involved you recently.

If that is what you are referring to then I'd suggest it's best not to dredge that up. I certainly don't want to be reminded of it.

Can't see any upside to that at all.

The wife and I are still on old 3G iphones. Pretty sad I know. Its time to update our antiques. Dont know anything about the technology of these things. Thinking about 4S phones or going with the 5. My question, whats 4G LTE and why so important to have? Thanks.

What's the big hoopla about?

My phone works like a charm and if it was good enough for Gekko it's good enough for me.

Nice Eric, well hope he solves your plan too!

Not too long now, it's 10AM here in Helsinki, so by this evening I'm hoping to watch the event!

I am very excited to see what apple has in store for us.

My upgrade is not until april but if apple really does a complete overhaul and not just add a few bells and whistles I will certainly pay the early upgrade fee :)

I just read on a Mac forum that you need to leave your iPhone 4 connected to your laptop all night long so that he is charged to the maximum.

Apple will send the new software via iWifi to the iPhone 4 and in the morning when you wake up it should have done it's transformation into the iPhone 5.

The screen should be grown to full size and the processor will have a brother on board . .

Good luck all

I'm curious to see if all the leaks are confirmed or it was all tosh & Apple surprise us all with a truly great upgrade...my 4 has served me well but the 5 will need to be something substantially better otherwise I'll keep my cash in pocket

As I have mentioned in another thread this will be my first Iphone. Very excited to see what it is going to look like. I am also curious to see what they are going to offer in terms of Ipods. I need a new Ipod nano since the screen on my Nano is going out. I use my Ipod everyday when I workout so it is a must for me.

That's a lovely "two seater".

I pity the carriers who have to drag you and JB home after dinner (Think JB's steak).

If you know Ustream - then you may find a pirate live stream (or two) from the event.
Engadget will prolly have the earliest pics, too.

Or you can spend some time hitting "refresh" on apple.com

You're right Dalip, I can't recall anytime you and I have but-heads on the forum, either with you as a mod or regular member. If we ever did disagree I'm sure it was respectful on both sides. That "for once we agree" line is just one of my standing humor remarks, I think I use it with just about anyone.

I wish I'd be up for one!! Damn those company phones and IT .. always looking for those pesky cheaper deals ... unless it goes to T-Mobile ...

Serious phone envy to follow later.
