Meeting An Old Friend For The First Time

Being an active member on TRF certainly has it's rewards. I've had the pleasure meeting many TRF members at GTGs in my home town, across the US, and even the across the pond in London. An amazing assortment of great people [and their spouses] who I'm honored to know.

Tonight I add Rick [Brenngun] and his lovely wife to that long list. Rick and I first met when he was looking into getting a snowflake, which now brings a smile to his face everytime he straps it on. Then, in what can only be described as fate, he bought my Big Block.

Rick informed me he would be in my neck of the woods so we decided to meet for dinner dragging with our better halves along for the ride. What a great evening. Meeting an old friend for the first time. And not only did he buy dinner he also gave me a half dozen fine cigars.

Thanks, my friend for a fantastic evening.

to you both. Without question, the friendships are the real legacy of this community. Did you get to see the 'ole BB through the cigar smoke?

Dan, We've finally made it to our destination so I can respond to your thread. It was our pleasure to meet you and your lovely wife for what we hope will not be the last time. You picked a great place to eat (ribs of course). The sports memorabilia at the restaurant was an unexpected pleasure to see. Once again thank you for your repeated kindness and help both past and present. It was great fun to talk watches and TRF. Eveyones ears on TRF should have been ringing I knew the lack of pictures would get us in a little hot water.

Carl, Thanks for the kind comments but truth be told it was Dan generosity to me from the begining of my TRF membership that set this one in motion. He's a gentleman's gentleman .....
