Morning coffee with my new watch!
Resistance was futile.
I picked this up in Tokyo yesterday and I'm really glad I did! This is a quick iPad photo. |

When I tried on the new Explorer II, my watchmaker, who always comes out to show me the watches, said that this model is what the Explorer II should have been all along. As time goes by, I'm beginning to agree with him and I'm beginning to see that that is probably the secret to Rolex success. As you say, "Resistance is futile," because no matter how strongly we hold to the old models when the new models arrive, we always eventually have to admit, this is the best rendition ever.

Looks great! How are the Rolex prices in Tokyo, compared to the US - if you have ever tried to compare.
