Bought this cover.. is it Genuine Rolex??

Hey guys, I am new to this forum.. I have a question that im sure someone on here can help me out with.. i bought this case cover online and am just wondering if it is a genuine rolex part. didnt pay all that much for it so if its fake, it wouldnt really be a big deal, but the seller said it was real so i am just wondering if you could tell from the numbers on it. thanks any help would be great! this was the seller's description..and the back looks really scratched for being never used am i right??

like new(never used but has very light 3 scratches and 100% authentic ROLEX case cover

engraved MONTRES ROLEX SA

GENEVA SWITZERLAND

patented stainless steel

1500

1.66

24mm

Hard to tell from the pictures,it looks like the back has been sanded, possibly to remove engraving and from the marking I.66 it would date from the first quarter of 1966 if it`s genuine, however if it was really cheap it may be too good to be true.

It is suppose to have two finishes, the last polisher simply did not centre the brush finish section to the centre part of the case properly. It can easily be fixed by any jeweler or yourself if you good at these things but you need some polishing supplies on hand

thats good to know.. i will probably bring it somewhere local and have it repolished so that it can be used. it also came with a new rubber gasket. so you are saying it is from the 60's ? thats cool
