Advice
Hi ... I bought an Explorer II 216570 and is still in the box as he handed me the dealer but now I fall in love with a Daytona 116 523 SS and Gold. There is enough difference in price I'll try to change it to a used one for then approach each price. Are saying? Good decision or not?

IMHO, I would keep the expy2 and save up for the daytona. I just bought a subc, and now I am saving up for the white dial exp2.

Keep the Explorer II, it's a better daily wearer imo, and save for the TT Daytona. Then you'll have the best of both worlds.

I like the Daytona but IMHO other models look better in TT. I think the Daytona looks better in SS or all gold. Also I really like the ExpII and with a date it's a much better daily wearer. A date is a must have my daily wearer.

If you would be willing to get a used Daytona, would a used Explorer II also be acceptable?
Maybe return the new watch and find a used Expl.II and Daytona for a better all round deal.

I just sold my TT Daytona for an Explorer II Noir. The Explorer II has much more presence in my opinion. I would go for a the GMT Master 2 in TT before another Daytona TT.

I would say keep the Explorer II and look for a preowned 116523.......I have seen some very attractive deals right here on TRF. Whatever route you choose, congratulations are in order, as both are fantastic watches!!

The Daytona does not have a Date. If you are okay without a date go with your gut. Explorer II is all SS is a better daily wearer for sure.

As a TT owner, I would actually rather have the SS model for daily wearing.
The Exp 2 is a fine piece, and you will be very happy with it if you decide to keep it |

Thanks guys
Very useful all the comments. Really I will keep the Explorer and when I find a good offer in a 116523 I will buy this watch. Or perhaps could find an offer in a new one. I love this watch and I know that it has not the demand that have the
SS model and this is my hope of find a good offer. Thanks guys. |
