Need Advice On Which YG Rolex To Add To Collection
Hello All!
I have been a long time visitor on TRF and this is my first post. I am in the market for a yellow gold rolex/watch to add to my collection and would like to hear your opinion on which to purchase to complement my collection the best. Of course the ultimate decision should be the watch that sings to me the most, but I'd like to see what people think. I am deciding between 118238 DD (champagne dial, stick markers), 116718 ln, 116718 green, 116618 ln, Lange 1? (out of leftfield I know). As of now, I'm leaning towards the black dial 116718, but still not sure. I normally dress business casual if that helps. Any other suggestions (35k limit, 42mm limit)? Current Collection: Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.5, Rolex Submariner 16610 Jaeger Le-Coultre Master Control Reserve de Marche (steel) Audemars Piguet 15300st (black dial) Thanks A Lot! |

Welcome!
I'd be leaning towards a DD with that kind of budget. |

Although I (still) don't have the funds, I've always been craving for a YG Rolex...
First, my grail gold Rolex was the Day-Date 118238 (with a silver "sticks" dial... I've mentioned this before here) but in the long run I think I'd appreciate the GMT II 116718LN more due to the bigger size, added GMT feature and the Easylink that the Day-Date doesn't have..

Buy a pre-owned Sub Bluesy. Not your cup of tea go DD both are true classics and timeless.

YG DDII. Either the champagne dial with Roman numerals or the black dial with black Arabic numerals. Check them out. Once you do, you won't want to go back to the 36mm DD.

Lange 1 in left field? Heck no! That would be my choice by a long shot out of those you listed. Although very different from the others obviously.

The YG Daytona with champagne or black Paul Newman dial. I love mine. And within your money and size requirements.

I have the 116718 (green faced GMT II-C) and the 218238 (DayDate II). While I wear the GMT a little more often, if I had to choose one it would be the 41mm DayDate. I had a 36mm DayDate and it has gotten to look rather small over time. They are all great choices though.

not that I have it, but the YG SubC with the Blue dial/bezel is absolutely stunning. That or a Daytona would be a knockout choice...

To me nothing out classes the YG DD with a white dial and roman numerals, as far as sport YG watches the green GMT is a very fine timepiece as well.

I love the green dial YG GMTIIC also! That said, you might want a black or blue dial as it might better blend ith more outfits.

C'mon, in a YG, go for the GMT!
Here's some of mine to convince you! |
